Metro Mania is a micromanagment and reflection game, inspired by Lemmings or Theme Hospital, where the player is brought to supervise a subway station, that is poorly equiped, and especialy badly agenced at the level of the accessibility and the security of the travelers. He will have to improve  his station with some objects that he can put where he wants on the scene. He must adapt his station to all the travelers types, blinded or on wheelchair. He must allow they to arrive safely and quickly to his destination, without making the sation saturate with too many travelers.

I joigned a team of 4 trainees (2 developpers, a graphist and a game designer), in the Société du Grand Paris, and we have made, together, this game in 3 months, in Unity, for the communication around the Grand Paris Express. The game have 2 playable levels and a tutorial, and is only playable on the web.

Production

On Metro Mania, i have mainly worked on the creation of the behavior of the entities, and the information gathering on the game session, with amplitude.

To make easier the path finding of the ways used by the travelers, i have used the new navmesh system, made by unity and that can be found on github.

Unline on smartphone, Amplitude doesn’t offer an easy solution to send data between a web game, and theirs services. So, i had to make the connection by myselft, between Metro Mania and Amplitude, witht the web API.
